Who Applies A carrier must obtain an annual permit to transport raw milk to or from a milk plant, receiving station or transfer station.
When To Apply Before transporting begins.
Initial Requirements This permit is for motor trucks only, not for truck tractor-trailer combinations. The maximum weight allowed is 20,000 pounds per axle; 80,000 pounds gross weight. Travel is restricted over any embargoed bridges or roads. A certificate of insurance must be in effect for the duration of the permit.
Duration One year.
Processing Time A permit is issued the day of application.
Fee Structure Permit: $25 (per power unit)
