The single trip permit is an over-dimensional permit that allows 1 trip within 5 days. An over-dimensional permit is required for vehicles and/or loads that are indivisible (cannot be broken down) and exceed legal dimensions or weights.

Who Applies Any carrier who will transport an overweight/oversize load, but does not want to obtain an annual permit for a whole year, or a multi trip permit for 60 days, or exceeds the size or weight allowed under those permits.
When To Apply Before transporting an over-dimensional load.
Initial Requirements A certificate of insurance must be in effect for the duration of the permit. Routing is required for the trip.
Duration One trip in 5 days.
Processing Time A permit is issued the day of application.
Fee Structure Permit: $35
Renewal Requirements Does not pertain.
