About
A one-year motor carrier permit to transport over-dimensional loads. An over-dimensional permit must be obtained in order to move vehicles and/or indivisible loads (ones that cannot be broken down) that exceed legal dimensions or weight. Valid on state and federal highways.

Who Applies Any carrier transporting loads in excess of legal limits that prefer the one-year annual permit versus the multi or single trip permits.
When To Apply Before transporting the over-dimensional load.
Initial Requirements A certificate of insurance must be in effect for the duration of the permit. Some routing is required.
Duration One year.
Processing Time A permit is issued the day of application.
