Initial Requirements Application requires proof of dramshop liability insurance, the endorsement of the local authority, and observance of local ordinances governing licensed establishments. Licensees must also attain an Iowa Sales Tax Permit, an Iowa Food Establishment Permit, an Iowa Sunday Sales Privilege if beer and wine will be sold/served on Sunday, and a Federal Occupational Tax Permit. Applicant Qualifications: Applicant must be 21 years of age or older, an U.S. citizen and an Iowa resident or a registered corporation, having no felony convictions within the past 5 years, possessing \"good moral character\" as defined in the Iowa Code section 123.3(34) and good financial standing.
Duration One year, 8 months, 6 months, 14 days, or 5 days.
Processing Time 45 days.
Fee Structure Fee depends on population of the community. Basic fees range from $24 to $702 depending upon population and duration of license.
