About

Individuals performing radiography of the human body using dedicated equipment.  These individuals do not qualify for a permit in any other classifications. \\\\”Podiatric\\\\” performs radiography of only the foot and ankle. \\\\”bone densitometry\\\\” performs bone densitometry using bone densitometry unit. When To Apply After completion of the training course and clinical competencies and the certification exam. Initial Requirements Completion of an 8 hours training course approved by IDPH and clinical competencies described in 641 Iowa Administrative Code Chapter 42. Satisfactorily passing the certification exam. Duration 12 months Processing Time 1-2 weeks. Fee Structure $40 for both initial application and annual renewal fee. $75 reinstatement fee. Renewal Requirements $40 fee annually and 4.0 hours of continuing education every two years. Exam $100 – Certification exam given by IDPH. Additional Information All studies must be completed under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. If IDPH course taken – $150 per course
