About

The owner of a regulated boiler, water heater, jacket kettle, or unfired steam pressure vessel must have a certificate to operate the object. Low pressure equipment is regulated only if located in a place of public assembly.

Who Applies For new installations or reinstallations, a notice of intent to install must be provided at least ten days in advance. When the inspector files an inspection report requesting a certificate, the invoice for a certificate will be generated.

Initial Requirements A notice of intent to install or reinstall must be provided at least ten days in advance. Equipment must pass inspection.

Duration One year.

Processing Time Does not pertain.

Fee Structure Certificate fee is $40 per year. Inspection fees due to the Division of Labor must also be paid before the certificate will be issued.

Renewal Requirements The equipment must pass inspection by an authorized inspector and the owner must pay all applicable fees.
