Who Applies Any person wishing to establish a school of cosmetology arts and sciences in Iowa.

When To Apply Before students receive instruction.

Initial Requirements Complete an application which must be approved by the Board of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences. Successful inspection must also be completed prior to license issuance. School must meet physical and sanitary requirements. A new application must be submitted for a change in ownership or location.

Duration One year.
