When To Apply Before buying aircraft for resale, manufacturing or transporting.
Initial Requirements Aircraft dealer applicants must understand pertinent sections of Iowa Code 328 including requirements for aircraft registration and special certificates. Proof of franchise if engaged in the business of selling new aircraft. Dealer inventory reporting is required at time of application. Duration Licenses are good for November 1 through October 31 of each year.
Processing Time 1 to 2 weeks.
Fee Structure Annual Dealer License: $400
Renewal Requirements Dealers must apply for a new special certificate each year.
