Continuing care retirement communities and senior adult congregate living facilities that require payment of an entrance fee prior to moving into the facility must register. They must also file with the Iowa Insurance Division the disclosure statement and contract forms that are provided to consumers. Code Citation Iowa Code 523D Who Applies A facility that provides housing together with supportive services to a resident in consideration of an entrance fee. When To Apply Filing and approval must precede operations. Initial Requirements None. Duration Renewal must take place on or before March 1 of each year. Processing Time Approximately 10 days.
