Who Applies Those seeking to serve as a coach in any K-12 setting, even as a volunteer.

When To Apply 4-6 weeks prior to the start of employment or volunteering

Initial Requirements Completion of an approved coaching authorization course, concussion training, and CPR training. Must be at least 18 years old and have a HS diploma or equivalent.

Duration 5 years

Processing Time 4 – 6 weeks

Fee Structure $85 to apply $75 background check for new applicants $95 to renew

Renewal Requirements 5 renewal activities to include: (1) mandatory reporter trainings for both child and dependent adult abuse (2) concussion training (3) CPR (4) renewal credit or rules meeting (applicant chooses) (5) renewal credit or rules meeting (applicant chooses)

Additional Information Licensed teachers may choose this option or choose to add an endorsement to their teaching license through college semester hour coursework.
