Every brand of pesticide distributed, offered for sale, or sold in the State of Iowa must be registered with the Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.

Who Applies Anyone who wants to distribute and/or sell a pesticide product in Iowa.

When To Apply Prior to distribution or offer for sale of any pesticide product in Iowa.

Initial Requirements Submit form and $250 registration fee with a final printed copy of the pesticide product label.

Duration Registration expires on December 31 following the date of issuance.

Processing Time 10 to 30 business days.

Fee Structure New Registration: $250

Renewal Requirements Renewal fee is based on prior year sales. Renewal fee due = sales x .002 (min $250 each) (max $3,000 each).
