Who Applies Operators of Special Mobile Equipment (SME) that is 45 feet or less in length and fail to meet the federal bridge formula.
When To Apply Before transporting begins.
Initial Requirements A copy of the permit must be carried in the vehicle at all times and must be available for inspection when requested by any peace officer. A certificate of insurance must be in effect for the duration of the permit.
Duration One year.
Processing Time A permit is issued the day of application.
