Who Applies Any person wishing to sell Iowa Lottery tickets.

When To Apply Before sales begin.

Initial Requirements A licensee must be 18 years of age or older and able to demonstrate financial responsibility. A license will not be issued to a person who has been convicted of fraud or a felony or who has had a lottery license revoked in this state or another state. A licensee must also demonstrate true ownership of the business applying for the license. A licensee is required to cooperate with the Iowa Lottery by using point-of-purchase materials, posters, and other educational, informational, and marketing materials when requested to do so. The license must be displayed wherever tickets are sold.

Duration One time application.

Processing Time Sixty days.

Renewal Requirements Remain in good standing with the Iowa Lottery Authority.

Exam No exam, however the applicant\’s credit bureau rating and other records will be checked prior to the decision to issue a license. Additional Information None.
