Permit to collect, process, transport and store the inedible materials produced by the federally or state inspected meat packing or poultry processing industry.

Who Applies Any person engaged in business in or for intrastate commerce as a broker, renderer, animal food manufacturer, or wholesaler or public warehouser of livestock or poultry products, or engaged in the business of buying, selling, or transporting in intrastate commerce any dead, dying, disabled, or diseased livestock or poultry or parts of the carcasses of any such animals, including poultry, that died otherwise than by slaughter shall register with the secretary the person’s name and the address of each place of business at which and all trade names under which the person conducts such business.

When To Apply Prior to commencing in business.

Initial Requirements The operator of any establishment shall require all employees of such establishment to have a health examination by a physician and a certified health certificate for each employee shall be kept on file by the operator.

Duration The license year shall be from July 1 to June 30.

Processing Time 14 days.

Fee Structure $25 to $50 depending on production volume.

Renewal Requirements Does not pertain.
