Initial Requirements Licensing with USDA Animal Care.

Duration One year from date of issuing state authorization.

Processing Time 10 days.

Fee Structure Permit or Registration Fee: $175

Renewal Requirements Maintaining active USDA Animal Care license.

Exam Does not pertain.

Additional Information A dealer shall not purchase a dog or cat from a commercial establishment that does not have a valid authorization issued or renewed under this chapter or a similar authorization issued or renewed by another state.
