Who Applies Any person engaged in surface or underground coal mining must obtain a license from the Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
When To Apply Application must be made and a license issued before mining begins.
Initial Requirements Does not pertain.
Duration License expires on December 31 following the date of issuance.
Processing Time 120 days.
Fee Structure New License: $50 Renewal: $10
Renewal Requirements Renew annually.
