Antifreeze Inspection & Permit
About
Before any antifreeze is sold in this state, a sample must be inspected by the Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. A permit will be issued upon successful passage of inspection.

Who Applies Any manufacturer, packer, seller or distributor of antifreeze must submit the product for inspection and obtain a permit for its sale.
When To Apply Antifreeze must be inspected and permitted before it is sold in this state.
Initial Requirements Fill out application found on website. #2 under Weights and Measures.
Duration A permit is valid unless revoked due to violation of Iowa Code Chapter 208A.
Processing Time Allow 3 to 6 weeks for processing license.
Fee Structure Inspection Fee: $20 per brand
Renewal Requirements One time only.
Exam N/A
