License to manufacture, distribute, and sell fertilizer or soil conditioner. *Only those persons possessing the fertilizer license are permitted to add pesticides to commercial fertilizers.

Who Applies Any person who manufactures, mixes, blends, mixes to customers order, offers for sale, or distributes any fertilizer or soil conditioner in Iowa must obtain a license.

When To Apply Application must be made and a license issued before fertilizer is sold, distributed, mixed, or manufactured.

Duration The license fee must be paid on July 1 of each year.

Fee Structure License Fee: $10 for each place of business.

Additional Information Effective June 1, 2018, the license will last two years and the fee will be $20.
