Registers an organization as a profit corporation in the State of Iowa. Initial Requirements Filing of Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of State. Each corporation must continuously maintain a registered agent at an address in Iowa, and keep that name and address up to date with the Secretary of State. Duration Valid until dissolved, expired, or administratively dissolved. Fee Structure Fee: $50 Renewal Requirements In order to remain active, a profit corporation must submit a biennial report to the Secretary of State by March 31 of every even-numbered year. Exam Does not pertain. Additional Information The first biennial report shall be delivered to the secretary of state between January 1 and April 1 of the first even-numbered year following the calendar year in which the domestic corporation was incorporated. Subsequent biennial reports must be delivered to the secretary of state between January 1 and April 1 of the following even-numbered calendar years. A filing fee for the biennial report shall be determined by the secretary of state. For purposes of this section, each biennial report shall contain information related to the two-year period immediately preceding the calendar year in which the report is filed. Failure to file the required report will result in administrative dissolution.
