Registration with the Consumer Protection Division of the Iowa Attorney General’s office is required for a professional fundraiser prior to soliciting contributions in the State of Iowa. Note: The professional fundraiser must also complete a Charitable Organization Disclosure Form (online or printable) for each charitable organization in Iowa for which it solicits funds regardless of where the funds are solicited. Code Citation 13C Who Applies A paid professional fundraiser wishing to solicit contributions on behalf of a charitable organization must register with the Attorney General. When To Apply An application can be submitted at any time. Initial Requirements None. Duration One year. Processing Time Thirty days. Fee Structure Registration: $10 – a convenience fee is added if paid online. Renewal Requirements Annually. Exam Does not pertain.
