Who Applies Any person wishing to establish a psychiatric medical institution for children must obtain a license to operate the facility in the state of Iowa.
When To Apply Application must be made and a license issued before operations begin.
Initial Requirements Applicants must meet life safety codes. Please contact the State Fire Marshal at 515.281.1137 for more information. Additionally, a certificate of need must be granted by the Iowa Department of Public Heath.
Duration License expires one year after the date issued.
Processing Time 60 days.
