Who Applies An entity that has an agreement with an existing Iowa racetrack enclosure, gambling boat, or gambling structure to operate an online or mobile sports book.
When To Apply Application must be filed with the administrator of the Racing and Gaming Commission at least 90 days before the first day of sports wagering is projected.
Initial Requirements Agreement with an existing Iowa licensee authorized to conduct gambling games at a pari-mutuel racetrack enclosure or a licensee authorized to operate an excursion gambling boat or gambling structure. Application must include application fees, completed DCI background packets for the business entity and key staff, and DCI background fees.
Duration One year.
Processing Time 90 days processing time, plus background suitability investigation by DCI.
