Optometrists measure the visual power of the human eye; prescribe and adapt lenses, prisms and contact lenses; and employ visual training or ocular exercise to aid, relieve or correct a person\’s vision. They diagnose and treat conditions of the human eye and adnexa.

When To Apply After educational and examination requirements for licensure have been met.

Initial Requirements Graduation from an accredited school or college of optometry and pass all parts of the NBEO examination.

Duration Two years.
