About
The EMS-Instructor course is designed to assist experienced emergency medical service providers in providing the highest quality instruction to their students. The course emphasizes adult learning, curriculum and lesson plan development, performance testing, and state policies and procedures. Code Citation Code of Iowa 147A Who Applies Any Iowa emergency medical service provider, physician assistant, registered nurse or physician who wishes to function as the primary instructor or course coordinator for initial EMR, EMT, AEMT or Paramedic courses. When To Apply After EMS Instructor requirements have been met. Initial Requirements An applicant for an EMS instructor endorsement must be currently certified as an emergency medical care provider or currently licensed as a registered nurse, physician assistant or physician.
